TV In The Dark

Let me watch my despair,
I’ll just be here sitting in darkness.
Let me try to repair,
These soul that plays with finesse.

I’ll flip to my favourite channel,
The drama of my life.
Feel free to judge me,
I’ve been through it my whole life.

Sobbing through this static,
Better than those in reality.
Sitcoms filled me with ecstatic.
Something lacking in reality.

The best part in life may not be in broadcast,
And it can’t be played back either.
There might be some bad forecast,
But life is always full of it.

Turn up the volume and hear my plea,
I just want a place of freedom.
I’ll just wait here on the couch,
And lay dormant till I’m free.
